On Friday 14 June a group of the Blackadders had a great night at Tynedale Beer festival. Even the sun came out to play!
The Tynedale Ladies embraced the Blackadders ladies (Athena, Lesley and Paula) as their own, and put a show on for the crowds with many of those on their debuts racking up the tries! The team photo really shows the spirit of the team, everything was done with a smile and a laugh. Big shout out goes to Liz who competed in her final game at her home club after 7 years of playing alongside the ladies. Brilliant effort by everyone involved and well earned beers and bait afterwards!
Big shout out to Team Ref with Steve, Alex and Mike offering to help out with the reffing for the evening. Everyone really appreciated having you there.
The next day Athena & Lesley made the road trip up North to Glasgow 🏴 for a run out for the Northern Lights, a team formed of players from Aberdeen Leopards, Hoodlums, Stirling Storm for a truly fun day of touch.
Athena won team MVP and Lesley as the teams female top try scorer took the ‘Try of the Day’ award. No pressure but we expect to see those diving skills for us!
